Vladislav Kupriyanov has recently joined the Max Planck Institute for Physics as a postdoctoral research fellow. The scientist dedicates himself primarily to aspects of the quantization of string theory and M-theory and will collaborate with the group headed by Dieter Lüst, Director at the Max Planck Institute for Physics.
“We are pleased that Vladislav Kupriyanov will strengthen our string theory group,” says the head of the group, Dieter Lüst. “He gained international reputation with his scientific work in the field of non-commutative geometry. In recent years, Vladislav has delivered several very original papers which are of great interest for us.”
Kupriyanov completed his doctorate at the University of Sao Paolo and spent a number of years there as a postdoc. Since 2011 he has been assistant professor at the Federal University of ABC, also in Brazil. His research residency will last two years.
The Capes-Humboldt Research Fellowship Program is a joint fellowship program of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation and the Brazilian research funding organisation Capes (Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior).
