The innermost tracking detector of Belle II is the Pixel Vertex Detector (PXD). It consists of 40 monolithic silicon modules arranged in two layers. The detector is developed and commissioned by a mostly European driven collaboration. The modules were processed at the Semiconductor Laboratory of the MPG (Halbleiterlabor - HLL) in Munich.
One task of the Belle II group at the MPP is the testing of prototype modules and characterization of the final modules. The modules are operated and analyzed with automated scripts to find the optimal working parameters. It is expected that those settings will change under the radiation environment during the experiment. The goal is to further develop the used methods and adapt them for operation at the experiment in Japan.
